Check different department stores especially during sales. They can get you a good deal plus usually a warranty.

I love this site! Great prices and you can see the actual picture of the diamond! But when you get it (no matter what site you get it from) get it appraised from a local and trusted jeweler.

    Good Luck=)

Idk exactly what you are looking for, you want side diamonds in the E-ring, and a matching wedding band that are flush fit, probably platinum metal

This leaves you with a 1500 budget in the centerstone

    http://www.adiamor.com/MR-1082-R2794-1.htm
for a white gold option, this leaves you with a 2089 dollar budget

    http://www.adiamor.com/MR-1078-R2790-1.htm
this leaves you with a budget of 1326. This set equals 1.14tcw and is G-H VS2 princesses channel set. Combined with the first two center stone options, that is 1 3/4 cttw of quality diamonds and within budget

3/4 ct pave set, 1615 in gold, 2605 in platinum

For excellent quality, that leaves you looking at 5/8ths-3/4 ct which is .59-.68 and .69-.82

    .59 G/VVS2 premium cut, cost 1212

    .60 G/VS1 cost 1304

    .63 F/VS2 cost 1362 (she sold!)

    .60 E/VS2 cost 1371

    http://www.adiamor.com/D-8767785.htm
    .61 G/VVS2 cost 1380

    http://www.adiamor.com/D-8855853.htm
    this is a radiant, .72 H/SI1 cost 1396

When choosing a princess center stone, some suggestions l/w ratio should not exceed 1.05:1, girdle you don’t want thin, it can chip, you also don’t want very thick then alot of carat wt is hiding in the girdle detracting the beauty of it. VVS2-SI1 is a good clarity range, D-H on the color, symmetry and polish very good or better, cut very good minimum, it is best for the table to be smaller than the depth on a princess, depth should not exceed 80 my standard is 75. Up to 5 percent smaller looks best for the table. If the table is slightly bigger that is fine too, you just don’t want the table to be 78 and depth to be 62 or something.

For that much you wont have a problem buying a ring at any local jewelry store. You can check out http://www.kay.com or http://www.zales.com for ideas. In my area we have North Eastern Fine Jewelry. That is where my ring is from and they are fantastic. Happy shopping!

Amazon has the best prices on certified diamonds and come with free insured expedited shipping. You choose the quality of the stone. Amazon has awesome rings that often beat even Walmart prices, let alone other major jewelry chains. Nobody thinks to buy rings from Amazon, but they have some nice stuff in their Build a Ring section.

Below are some ideas for your price range that are excellent quality. The first ring, which is probably the best of what I have down here, has a total of 1.25 carats of diamonds featuring a .75 carat G/VS2 GIA certified princess cut center stone set in platinum. Believe it or not, it’s within your price range!

For most couples, the man purchases the engagement ring. A few months bfore the wedding the couple shops together for the wedding bands as some couples like to make them match or coordinate. If you want to purchase a bridal set, which includes both the engagement ring and the wedding ring that fittogether erfectly, go for it. It can sometimes save money, especially when you purchase a more unsually shaped ring.

I got my wife’s ring at Diamond Brokers of Florida:

    http://www.dbof.com/

    http://www.diamondring.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1054

Or you could check out these other online sources:

    http://www.WhiteFlash.com

    http://www.GoodOldGold.com

    http://www.ExcelDiamonds.com

    http://www.BlueNile.com

Blue Nile’s database is good, but they don’t provide you with photos or analysis reports of the diamond. I wouldn’t go with them for that reason.

    Happy hunting.

There are many retailers that can deliver a beautiful engagement ring set in this price range, and most carry princess cut diamonds, since it’s the second most popular shape. One way to compare prices at several places at once is to use a diamond search engine, like http://www.diamondpriceguru.com/ or Pricescope. Each of these search engines checks diamond inventories at 10 or so retailers, so you’ll be checking prices at several places people have already mentioned in their answers here (Amazon.com, James Allen, Mondera, Engagement Rings Direct [ERD], Blue Nile, etc.).

I suggest visiting either or both of these diamond search engines, clicking “princess cut” and picking a price range of about half of what you want to spend. They find the loose diamond that meets your specifications and show you where you can buy it. You can either buy a ring set from the store that sells you the main diamond, or you can pick one from another store. (So, half your money goes to the main diamond and half to the ring set–it’s a good plan for starting and you can adjust it if you find the setting of your dreams and know its exact price.)

Most local jewelers will combine the loose stone and setting for you for a small fee; even with that small fee, the total ring set’s cost should be a lot less (up to 30% less) than buying a ring set with the diamond pre-mounted by the seller.

    I hope this helps.

I suggest you to create your own ring at http://www.israel-diamonds.com
Israel-Diamonds.com was set up in order to offer the smaller jeweler and the general public a forum in which to buy diamonds, gemstones and engagement rings at prices well below the normal so-called wholesale prices.
