I recently recieved two rings. One diamond solitaire with small side-stones, and the other five ruby/diamond setting. They’re too big for my fingers and also, I’m not a big fan of the design. I would like to get something different but dont know if I should sell them, or trade them, or get them re-set? Please help. Thank you!!

Product Description
The academic study of diamonds is as multi-faceted as the precious stones themselves. Mineralogists and geographers have written about them, as have historians and economists and students of art and fashion. They each shine their light on a different aspect of this source of luminous radiance. But who would venture to describe the entire complicated worldwide system starting in the diamond mines and ending with the consumers of Western metropolises? In The Mazzel R… More >>

Is there somewhere online where you can trade diamond engagement rings?
April 3rd, 2011I have my ex-wife’s engagement ring that I gave her. I would like to propose to my current girlfriend, but would never dream of giving her the old engagement ring. Is there anywhere online where men can trade engagement rings of similar value? There must be someone out there in a similar situation with whom I could just trade rings, rather than go to a jewelry store and not receive top dollar for it. It’s a 1 carat emerald cut diamond engagement ring. I thought for sure there would be a market for this online, but haven’t located anything like what I am proposing.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood – Bandit Farming for Trade Objects

Gamertag: Zwoosh Want to be in a Brotherhood multiplayer video? Add my newly created gamertag on Xbox Live. Gamertag: Zwoosh All my videos will be STORY spoiler free AND HD! Bandits drop a lot of rare quest items. A lot. Two farming runs with no editing – one take. Here’s my Tradable Item farming route. Not sure if its been discovered already, but I’m documenting it anyway. Wait until nightfall! Travel to Palazzo Laterano (you might be able to travel closer – but I’m superstitious) I walk to the location near the bottom of the map because of superstition mainly
Walk along the path until you hit a crossroad with a small hill with trees on it. Bandits attack from around the hill. If they don’t attack straight away, walk a couple of times around it. Kill them, loot them, repeat! Works every time (at night) for me. Sometimes I have to go to dash and restart though, so almost every time.
Items I commonly get: Silk Vlad the Impaler Coins Ambergris Elephant Ivory Indian Diamonds Sapphire Cardinal’s Purple Dye Piper Nigrum Papaver Silvaticum And Shrunken Head (apparently. if you do my route, let me know if you get a Shrunken head!) Story: Right, so I’ve been trying my bloody hardest to get do my last shop quest (Exotica), all I’m missing is a ‘Shrunken Head’. After going to every treasure chest in Rome I’m still missing one, so I tried something else. I heard rumours that Bandits that “randomly” attack you have a small percentage of dropping Shrunken Heads, so after …
The history of diamonds in the jewellery trade
September 5th, 2010The early beginnings of the diamond
Diamonds can be traced as far back as the ancient Indian Sanskrit texts which mention the diamond trade. Buddhists texts of the 3rd and 4th century also make mention of the precious stone. India was the primary source for diamonds for a long period of time which led to a prosperous economy throughout the east.
Eventually the diamond trade spread throughout the world, finding its niche market in wealthy people and royalty. The discovery of diamond mines in South Africa has led to it becoming the largest producer of diamonds in the world.
The diamond in the jewellery trade
Towards the later half of the 15th century Belgium jewellers developed a technique for shaping and polishing the gems. This eventually led to the widespread use of diamonds as fashion accessories. Today, companies like De Beers dominate the diamond industry, along with various other online retailers who promote diamond engagement rings and bridal sets. The popular use of the diamond in an engagement ring has contributed to the success of the diamond trade and it has become an industry in itself.
The fact that the diamond has now become a common commodity means that more and more people have access to it, therefore it is no longer exclusively available for the rich and famous. We have the advantage nowadays of being able to purchase different shapes and colours, such as round diamonds and princess cut diamonds, depending on our individual taste.
Although they vary in price, there are various types of diamond rings to suit different kinds of people. The popularity of the round diamonds and princess cut diamonds has not diminished their value, nor has it taken away from their association with wealth and sophistication. That they are used for such special pieces like engagement rings simply adds to their historical significance as a special and valuable natural wonder.
