September 14th, 2010

If it is that time to propose to your gal, finding the best Jewellery store with engagement rings will sure to please her. Weddings are what most women dream about. Most little girls have already imagined what their special day will be like. If you love your girl, you do not want to let her down!

The beauty of rings, especially engagement rings, draws in a woman. There is an old saying that diamonds are a girls best friend. The hope that the ring is not her best friend and you are but you can give her a ring that she will love and cherish.

The hope is that your relationship can survive a potential disagreement over a ring for example. The people who worry about the size of such a ring may be too materialistic, but the truth of the matter is that so many people out there make the wrong decisions about an engagement ring because they do not happen to do the proper amount of research.

Rings can be found at your local malls. You can even find them online. Be careful when shopping online because you are not able to see the ring in hand. Just be sure to look at the quality and clarity of these online rings before submitting your credit information. The picture of the ring can look nice online, but when it is shipped out, you may find the quality is not as good. You may see a tint of yellow for example.

If you are surprising your gal, you may want to sneak in her jewelry box and find another ring so you can get the engagement ring sized to fit her as soon as you give it to her. She will be impressed that you thought of such thing. Although she will be happy either way, she will love the fact that she can wear the ring as soon as you propose to her.

It is important to know that there are different cuts to diamonds such as round cut, diamond cut, marquise, heart shaped, princess cut and many more. Usually a woman will already know what cut she wants so maybe you want to hint around to see if you get a clue. You may even take her to jewelry stores or go online looking at other jewelry (not engagement rings) to get an idea. Maybe you can ask a best friend if you know they can keep a secret.

Engagement rings are an important part of weddings; it signifies the love you two share. The beauty of diamonds are stunning and are one of a kind. You will truly be making her dream a reality by choosing the perfect ring.

Jewellery is something that every girl likes to own and she would gladly welcome a diamond to her collection. Although it is not the Diamond rings that prove your love, but it does help. Your soon to be wife will be showing off her ring any time she can. The wedding day is important to her as it is to you, but to a woman all the more! You will light up her life by giving her a gift she will never forget, a commitment of a lifetime!

Why its important to avoid conflict diamonds in Charlotte Town engagement rings and Kentville engagement rings is a topic that warrants continued debate. The Canadian Jewellery Directory enforces a code of ethics among Canadian Jewellers.

You never have to worry over your diamonds being stolen or if you happen to lose them. Every stone is uniquely laser inscribed with a serial number. These numbers are unnoticed by human eyes and can only be seen if someone uses the magnification of 50x or more. You will get a certificate of your diamonds number stating this particular diamond does belong to you.

Now on to things you should know and look for when purchasing diamonds. The shape of diamonds are usually radiant, princess or round. This is what form the diamond has when it is looked down upon. A diamonds cut is what determines the brilliance of a stone. The more excellent the cut is then the more brilliantly it will shine.

The lack of color within in a diamond refers to the color grad of them. The best diamonds of the higher grade classes have little if no color in them. The lesser grade quality diamonds have visible color, even if its slight and considered much lower quality.

A diamonds weight is what most people go by. But the weight is only a weight measurement of the diamond itself. It has nothing to do with quality, grades, cuts and so forth. Now the clarity is very important as it tells how slight or non existent imperfections are within a stone. The higher clarity grades have the least imperfections within them.

Glassy diamonds or ones that have a dull luster to them should not be considered. This means these are of very low quality and grades. The cut was done poorly and its brilliance lost. Look for a cut within your budget that is of the highest you can afford and then choose the one that speaks to you.

You can also find Fancy Diamonds, these are extremely rare. Only one in a ten thousand batch comes out with fancy natural coloring. These colors can vary from pale to deep. The more intense the color the more rare of a find they are. Colors range from yellows, greens, purples and some blues.

Different Kinds Of Unusual Engagement Rings

June 30th, 2010

Throughout the entire article, I will give some ideas regarding unusual engagement rings. This paper would be a boon for those who are in the process of looking for some engagement rings for their partners.

If the girl likes something that is full of colors then the Aquamarine with Peridot, Topaz and Spinel would be a good choice. This ring is a very colorful one. It consists of colors such as red, blue and yellow. It is very elegant and the combination is right and you can also set the ring into a whitish gold to neutralize the ring colors. You can also shape it into a flower with one central stone in it and a lot of different stones around it. This is one of the beautiful and elegant and unusual engagement rings you could ever see.

Another unusual type is the Golden Rutilated Quartz ring. This time, it is a square shaped quartz stone that is embraced by some yellow gold color around. The contrast will draw some instant attention to your finger. This kind of unusual engagement ring is the right type and a good way to announce that you are connected. It also represents some modern style because of the quartz. Another good thing about it is the way the light hit the stone. It gives some natural illusion with the different shades of color. The dark spot on the stone also gives a deep and meaningful texture.

Diamond will forever be one of the wonderful gems. It is considered as the standard stone for an engagement ring. You can also pair it with black diamond as well. You can have two main stones in the center and have some gold strips around it. In addition, if you have more budget you can also add some diamond bits that are black and white around.

Colored Diamonds For Your Engagement Ring

April 20th, 2010

The greatest symbol of love in our modern society is the engagement ring. There are few other things that even come close. It has always been a tradition to present her with a brilliant diamond solitaire while asking her hand in marriage. Today however, we have a lot of other options. Why not make the ring that much more special?

One of the most stylish and attractive types of ring you can get right now are rings with a fancy colored diamond. In the past this wasn’t so easy because they didn’t have the methods of color enhancement like we have today. It is actually affordable to buy a ring with a blue diamond in it.

There can be limited styles available when you are looking to get a ring like this. So you could choose to be extremely unique and design your own one of a kind wedding ring.

Not only will you get a truly unique ring that you can honestly say fits your beautiful bride, but she will see just how much thought you put into it before making your marriage proposal. It is extremely romantic to present her with a one of a kind ring which you designed.

Diamonds which have been colored, and naturally colored diamonds, can both me a lot more expensive than white diamonds so it is important to decide on how big your budget will be beforehand. Unfortunately, this will also decide what colors you buy. Some colors, such as red, are so rare that most jewelers have never even seen a red diamond!

You will have a lot more leeway when it comes to the metal you put it in because they are all similarly priced. You do need to consider how you want it to look though. A light colored diamond, say yellow or champagne colored can easily be mistaken as a white diamond if the right color isn’t chosen. Blue diamonds however, will look incredible no matter what metal you pair them with.

Another thing you can do if you are designing your own ring is to put in three diamonds. This is a very eye catching look. You can put a large white diamond in the center and flank it with two beautiful colored matching diamonds. It would look fantastic.

Designing your own engagement ring can be extremely romantic and make it special for both of your, however-this endeavor can be very expensive.

How To Buy Diamond Jewelry Online

April 19th, 2010

Most people would agree on two things. Diamonds are desirable and diamonds are expensive. Unfortunately, most people haven’t yet discovered that you can find great deals on diamonds online. There is no need to hassle with a local jewelery store.

The internet’s shopping world is gigantic. No matter what you are looking for, be it a bracelet, necklace, or engagement ring, you will be able to find a huge selection of high end diamond jewelry at a incredible price.

Online stores have a lot of advantages that jewelry stores cannot compete with. They are able to create incredible discounts and deals for several different reasons.

It can be very hard to buy online. There can be hugely diverging prices and enormous inventories. Even worse, there are some stores which use deceptive advertising to drive sales. Luckily, these types of people are usually few and far inbetween.

There is a lot of information available online that can help you with all of this. There are plenty of reviews available and it is easy to quickly find information on who you are buying from. You will get much more honest information then you will ever get from a local jeweler.

Online jewelry stores can give you better deals for a very simple reason. They don’t have to expend nearly as much money on labor and leases. They don’t have to pay nearly as many employees and they don’t have the distribution costs associated with having a chain of stores. This also allows them to have a much more lean inventory.

Before you let their incredible deals get to you, there are some things you need to think about before you buy online. Having a good idea of what kind of store you are buying from and knowing whether or not you can trust them is important.

The biggest thing you need to avoid is stores which are selling ‘conflict’ or ‘blood’ diamonds. These are diamonds gained through questionable practices in developing countries. You also want the store to offer a wide variety of diamonds and to have very good customer service. Having fair return policies is also a deal breaker.

The Four C’s of Diamond Buying

January 15th, 2010

Some basic information is necessary as you search for the perfect diamond engagement ring.

The Four C’s are those basics. Standing for cut, clarity, color and carat, these are the standards used to determine a diamond’s quality and price. Here is what you need to know about the Four C’s:

I/E (Ideal/Excellent), VG (Very Good), G (Good), F/M (Fair/Medium), P (Poor) are the cut ratings given to diamonds. Diamond cutters determine the best cut for each stone to eliminate flaws and maximize the way the diamond reflects light. The cut of a diamond is probably the most important consideration.

Fancy colored diamonds are in a different category than white diamonds when it comes to color grading, although some light yellow or light brown gems fall under the white diamond scale. The scale begins with D which means colorless, and goes to Z where tint is obvious. Jewelers typically carry white diamonds graded from D to I. J to M have a faint hint of yellow. Diamonds from M to Z have increasing amounts of yellow or brown tint.

Clarity refers to the flaws contained in a diamond. As diamonds were formed naturally, deep within the earth, over millions of years ago, other substances sometimes became imbedded in the diamond’s structure. Grades go from Internally Flawless (IF) to I3 (inclusions visible to the naked eye). A jeweler’s loupe (magnifying glass) will allow you to look into the interior of the diamond you wish to purchase.

If a diamond has flaws, sometimes laser drilling and infilling treatments are applied to remove the flaw. These treatments should be revealed by the jeweler. A white diamond can have the color grade dropped by one level after treatment.

Diamonds are weighed by carats. A one carat diamonds weighs 200 milligrams. After grading a diamond on cut, clarity and color, the value is set per carat. Larger diamonds are not necessarily higher quality as the other characteristics must be taken into account first.

Engagement Rings: Knowing The Proper Time To Propose

December 1st, 2009

Anyone who has been in love, be it with the woman of your dreams or even your fantasies, with a real-life girlfriend or an on-screen obsession will have played out the scene where you propose in your head a thousand times and will still not be sure how to get it right.

Everything is all set. You made sure it will all work out as planned. You slaved day and night for the preparations. Her favourite meal, the romantic trail of roses in her bedroom with the note on her bedside, her favourite song played on violin and her engagement ring strategically hidden in the champagne. Everything must be perfect or else it will never be right again. No perfect moment happens twice in a lifetime. This is that one which leads to eternal bliss of love and happiness.

This is why it is essential to pick the right time to propose to the one you love, and put every preparation that you can into making sure that everything runs smoothly…and that they say yes!

Now, cynics may say that this is no time to plan a wedding if you do not have the money, what with the country being in a state of financial turmoil and no one’s job being seemingly secure; however, as the song goes, young hearts, run free and if you think that you have found the one then there is no time like the present to get down on one knee and take the plunge.

The woman of your life deserves the best engagement ring you can buy, although it can be very expensive. On the other hand, do not worry that much and get all stressed out, because online jewellers are often willing to offer generous discounts to young couples who want a diamond engagement ring for that perfect proposal.

Forever has no guarantee that is for sure. Everything is a risk even with hearts filled with love. Rarely do engagement rings come with a guarantee or a sale so you better be certain that this is the person that you want to share the rest of your life with.

If you have put all the thought that you can into deciding to propose, then there is little doubt that it will go well; the most important thing is that you love each other and are prepared to stay together forever, (and a little more, if you believe in an afterlife!); engagement rings are a huge symbol of this love, so make sure that you pick one that best represents your relationship.

When you want to buy engagement rings for your special someone, then make sure you know what you are buying. DiamondGeezer.com has an online diamond buying guide which shows you what to look out for.
